Ever played ‘consequences’ as a child? Well, in this workshop we’ll be playing it in collage form to create group artworks, as well as a concertina piece created by yourself. This is a perfect way to free up your creativity; it’s hard to be precious when you’ll be passing your work to the next person!
Paper collage brings a wonderful freedom, is inclusive to all skill levels, and, as many of the materials are reclaimed, is a sustainable craft. We’ll be using images, colours, text and texture – ripped or cut, layered and juxtaposed – to create these free-flowing pieces.
About the Tutor:
I’m a Brighton-based artist and creative facilitator. I’ve always been interested in how creativity and the natural world can positively impact on wellbeing; and these themes are woven throughout my creative practice. I often work outside, enabling a positive connection to nature and a mindful creative practice which uses reclaimed and second-hand materials where possible to increase sustainability. I also work as a youth arts worker and creative facilitator in the arts & wellbeing and museum sectors.
